Madame Tussauds: Where the Celebrities Live!
One of the most famous attractions in Las Vegas is the Madame Tussauds Museum. In here, you can find an exhibition of more than 100 wax replicas of many famous television, music and movie stars.
Every replica has been done very carefully, so that it will be a hard task to distinguish between the real person and the wax statues. The work it takes to give shape to these statues take about 6 months from the moment the first measures of the person are taken. Actually, there is a total of 150 precise measures that must be taken: body, face, hands and eyes, which are carefully painted until achieving the exact color of the person's. Afterwards, the wax statue is dressed up with pieces of clothes that have been used by the star they represent.
The museum manages to handle several thematic expositions, including the one named the "Spirit of America", where they give tribute to important characters from the past and present in the United States. You can find the figures of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, John F Kennedy with Jackie O and George W. Bush. Futhermore, you will find the statues of great Las Vegas stars including Liberace, Wayne Newton, Frank Sinatra and Siegfried & Roy.
The museum is interactive and allows visitors to touch the statues, their hair, skin and clothes. Furthermore, they recently introduced the modality to play and dance with some of the statues. You can take a picture with Elvis Presley while he is singing, for example.
There are a great number of interesting activities you can do while in the museum. Moreover, they are constantly adding up new figures of important people and celebrities, which are selected on a basis of several surveys run within the visitors.
